Welcome To Black Orchid!
In 1692, The Salem Wich Trials changed Massachusetts. Men and Women were hanged for simply being unliked in the community. They were wrongly accused of being witches and of harrassing other towns people. Over 150 people were arrested and imprisoned, with even more accused who were not formally pursued by the authorities. The courts convicted twenty-nine people of the capital felony of witchcraft. Nineteen of the accused, fourteen women and five men, were hanged.
What the people of Salem didn't know, was that their problem was not witches, but Vampires.
The Vampires watched in horror as these humans slaughtered their own people to prove a point. What was that point? That they were the law, and everyone would bow to them. The Vampires kept to themselves, most of them moving out of Salem because of the risk of discovery. About fifteen miles outside of Salem, lies a small town called Massacre Harbor. This was where the Vampires chose to settle. It was far enough away from the accusing human eyes, but not too far where they would be foodless. They lived in relative peace, even being joined by some of the Salem humans. The trials ended, with all of the accused eventually being found innocent of their crimes. It was a terrible time in history, but the Vampires survived.
Now, in present day Massacre Harbor, the Vampires have had enough of hiding. They are owning businesses and working along side the humans. Several of the newer Vampires have even started to become sloppy while feeding. Though the humans continue to grow more and more suspicious, the Vampires are still living in the shadows, for now.
Over the years, other species have found refuge in Massacre Harbor, with it being a known Vampire haven. Several werewolfs have been seen in the nearby forests of Salem and even on the streets of Massacre. Also, ironically, real natural born, witches have begun to surface in Massacre. They have made claims of hiding for centuries, even through the ancient persecutions.
What will happen now, with so many vying species in one small town. We need your help to figure it all out.
