Aëron Legacy - New Early Access Medieval Fantasy RP!

Aëron's birth was brought from the death of another realm, whose Worldsoul traveled through the Silvermist, eager to be reborn again. From deadened, tepid waters of an unborn realm began a whirlpool, and from those waves emerged a radiant opalescent jewel, thrumming with enchantment. Its energy unfurled, casting ripples across the nascent world. Lands began to take shape, emerging from swirling Silvermists with landscapes heavenly and dangerous alike. Four continents came to be, with myraids of islands in their company. The lands were graced with two moons, and a radiant sun. As time began to flow in this newly formed world, new beings and civilizations came into existence. This is what would become known as the Age of the First Dawn, a time when Aëron was still in its infancy, when peace was all that was known. In these times, an Order was formed of beings who were able to harness Aëron's magic, using it to create grand cities of splendor and traverse the realm in order to uncover its mysteries. Many moons came and went before the lust for power corrupted the hearts of its peoples. As the Age of the First Dawn came to an end, the Age of the Great War began, for whoever could control the Worldsoul jewel, could control all magic within its realm.
The War ravaged every contitent - entire forests burned to the ground, cities reduced to ash and cinder, countless lives lost to the Silvermist in blood and fury. Decay began to creep into their world, threatening an end to all life. In an effort to save the realm of Aëron, the Four leaders from each contitent called for a ceasefire. With this Peace Treaty they swore to never take arms upon each other again, lest they bring about the destruction of their world. The jewel was broken into four pieces, with each leader taking their share back to their home country. As time continued to ebb onward, the magic within the world changed. No longer wild and unfettered, the lands settled into position permanently. The original Order was dismissed, no longer able to harness the energies within the fabric of the realm. Instead, the lesser magic flowed through the Four holders of the jewel. They became anchored to their land, and granted immortal life, only able to be killed through magical means. With this new potential, they were able to transform their subjects.
In Daín, they were granted powers of shifting flesh of man into bear. In Vedenya, they were granted powers of great brute strength and size. In Selâ, they were granted powers of nature, able to communicate with animal and plant alike. In Quenyi, they were granted kinship with great beasts of wings, claw and fire. It took many lifetimes for Aëron to recover from its wounds, and so the great threat of the jewels eternal power since passed from memory of mortal beings. And so the Age of Peace was born. Each country engaged in trade, celebration, travel, advances in great knowledge and history.
However, it would not last. Whispers carried in the wind from the West speak of the Order returning. The beings who manipulated magic and formed the realm in its youth have returned, with a thirst to see their power granted back to them, but in doing so, would threaten the existence of the realm itself and those who lie beyond its borders. As the Age of Peace ends its chapter, the Age of Awakening begins. It’s up to valiant heroes to decide which side they will offer themselves to. What will you choose?
